Blade reverse displays etched inscription 'Commemorating the Return to Private Ownership of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company June 1981' and facsimile signatures including Willie G. Davidson. Knife construction consists of a trailing-point steel blade, spine jimping, contoured finger-groove wood handle, polished metal bolster and pommel, and brass spacers.
